To celebrate this new chapter in my photographical life (see this post if you’re new here), I want to do something AWESOME for somebody else. A while ago I heard about a wedding planner who chose to work every third wedding for absolutely free. This sounded crazy to me at first, but then I came to the conclusion that she was a genuinely kind and giving person. She inspired me to give more of my talents “just because”. At this stage in my business, I can’t take every third wedding for free, but I can do something else pretty nice!
I’m giving away a free wedding photography package to a deserving, amazing couple! Cool, right?!
Here’s the DEALIO:
1. If you have already booked a photographer, you may not enter. It’s not cool to break an agreement you’ve already made.
2. The wedding must take place THIS year (2013).
3. The winners will receive all day wedding coverage by me and edited images with reproduction rights.
4. The wedding can take place anywhere, but the winners must agree to pay the travel fees. (If you’re outside the Greater Boston Area, there will be travel fees. But still enter if you want=) )
TO ENTER: If you’re a couple who fits the above description and think you deserve this free photography gift, email me before March 1st and share your love story with me! Don’t be afraid to be detailed. How did you meet & when did you fall in love? How did he propose? Please tell me a story about a time when you gave someone a gift just because, volunteered for a good cause, did a random act of kindness, or something like that. Also include both your names, your wedding date and venue, how you found out about this contest, and a cute picture of the two of you! (It seems like a lot, but it’s easy, promise!)
IMPORTANT: You have to email me at twayphoto@gmail.com BEFORE 9 pm on Friday, March 1st (three weeks from now) and I will announce a winner on Friday, March 8th here on the blog. Send in your entry right away, because I’m limiting this contest to the first 15 eligible couples. An eligible entry is one that includes all of the information I’ve asked for and is for a wedding scheduled on a date that I have open.
I will choose a Grand Prize winner based on the “completeness” of their entry, so make sure to make them detailed and all about you! I know there will be many couples entering who deserve this gift, so I’ll also pick TWO couples to win 20% off any package of their choice. There’s three chances you could win something! Why not enter, right?
Boston is filled with great wedding photographers and I’m very intimidated, yet excited, to finally be taking the “full-time” leap into this amazing pool of talent. I know I’m going to rely heavily on word-of-mouth, so please share this post with any and all of your engaged friends!
